Stuffed Tofu Puffs with Pad Thai Chilies Sauce

RECIPE  

  • Fried tofu puffs (available at Asian supermarket)
  • ½ cup of bean sprouts
  • ½ cup of grated carrot
  • ¼ cup of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 4 oz. of Thai 3 Wheels Pad Thai sauce 
  • 3 tbsp. of soy sauce
  • 2 small red chilies finely chopped
  • 4 oz. of water 

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Bake fried tofu puffs in a convection oven at 300 F for 10 mins. 
  • Heat 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil in a fried pan.  
  • Add bean sprouts, carrot and cilantro to the pan and cook for 3-4 mins over medium heat.
  • Once cooked, add a pinch of salt and pepper. Then set them aside.  
  • To make Pad Thai chilies sauce, combine Pad Thai sauce, soy sauce, red chilies and water in a small pot. 
  • Bring it to a boil. Then reduce heat and simmer for 3 mins. 
  • To assemble this dish, fill the cooked vegetables on each of the tofu puff. Then drizzle with small amount of the sauce. Keep the rest of the sauce for dipping.
